any of you guys think panthers have a chance of getting back to the playoffs again? i, being a panthers fan, doubt we'd make it again...probably going to follow the trend of most super bowl losers.

No way were the Panthers a fluke... That defense is imposing, and they have some playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. The one thing working against them this year, though, is that they aren't gonna catch anyone off-guard this time around. Nevertheless, I think they're going to be a hell of a team this year, even if they are not the favorite to repeat as NFC champs.

No way is carolina going to repeat as super bowl champs. they won't even win the nfc. once again the road to the superbowl has got to come through philadelphia. this is the year for the birds (sound familiar?) but this time it really is. eagles and pats are definitely the favorite to win their respective conferences.

Panthers will be back in the playoffs. Tampa Bay lost alot, Atlanta has no defense, and New Orleans is...New Orleans. NFC Champs again? I doubt it, but I'd love to see it. The NFC this year is probably gonna go to the Eagles (sadly), Packers, or Seahawks (no, I'm not high)

Tampa Bay lost a lot? Sapp and Lynch, yeah, but we added a ton too pal.

As for the Panthers, they lost a helluva lot more than the Bucs did, especially on defense. I don't know about this team, they could be good, they might not be good, but I think they'll realize that after getting to the Super Bowl, the next season tends to be a helluva lot harder than the last one.

hell yes...they got a good core group of players. they also have got some experience...they'll make it to the playoffs...but not to the Bowl.

I don't know about a one-hit wonder, but some of their personnel changes are gonna make this year more difficult for them. Only one o-lineman is in the same position as last year, and 3/4 of their secondary is new. An even bigger problem: One of the new guys in the secondary is Artrell Hawkins. Trust me, when the Bengals cut a defender its a good idea to stay away from him.

I think they'll have a strong season, i dont' think they'll make it to the superbowl. But delhomme and the recievers have looked good in pre-season, and hopefully the defense backs and linebackers will make up for the shortcomings in the secondary.

but i am worried about the O line

I agree with rick on all but one thing, the pack will win 9 or 10 games just because brett is taking snaps, but the rest of the team isn't gonna rally around him like they did last year, instead i'm looking for the vikings to get beat in the first round of the playoffs

I think the panthers will be back in the playoffs as well.. They looked GOOD in their preseason game against the pats.. yes yes its only preseason..

No way they are worse than the 3 other teams in their division.

In my personal the panthers were a one hit wonder even though they have one of the better D-lines, i dont think they will make it. After last nights game i highly doubt they will make it to the playoffs.

They had a great team last year but they lost some key players. The offensive line and defensive line took lost some key players. No to mention that Smith and Davis are sidelined. Foster will pick up the slack but they need pass protection. I think this year they will be a little better that a .500 team.
