yeah, I was mentioned that movie in the scariest movie thread. the flashes of hell freaked the shit out of me. I guess I watched it long before I saw the Matrix, so I never connected the two at all.

Event Horizon is a good movie. I always find myself watching it when it’s on TV. Reminds me more of Solaris meets Hellraiser than the Matrix though? Ever see the Thirteenth Floor? It came out around the same time as the Matrix and as a result, got lost in the mix.

Event Horizon was good stuff. Its been a lil while since i last saw it, definitely would love a newer viewing of it to remind me of everything. I think most movies that deal with time issues and who-is-in-control issues always remind me of the matrix though.
