Another DVD Burner Question...
Last winter I built my own computer for the first time. I purchased two DVD drives, so i could directly burn dvds. On my invoice it says my burner is a Toshiba SDR-5112B Black DVD-R/4X DVD-RW/2X CD-R/16X CD-RW/10X ATAPI EIDE Drive. Does this mean that it will burn DVD's because it was listed as a DVD Burner not a combo drive? If it is a dvd burner, then wut program should i use to burn dvd's i got a program named DVD cloner and it isn't working for me...I am also having trouble getting my regular dvd drive to work properly. It is listed under my computer but if i put a disk in it doesnt read it...I would appreciate any help...thanks

Re: Another DVD Burner Question...
You do have a DVD burner but you can only use DVD-Rs, not DVD+Rs. If you can still return\exchange it, get the DVD+/-R so you can use both formats. The drive should have came with the required burning software unless you bought OEM. If you bought OEM. then no software is included- get the latest version of Nero or Roxio. You can burn both DVDs and CDRs.
What OS are you using? If you see your DVD in "my computer" but cannot access it, check your drive jumper settings. If you have two drives on one IDE cable, one has to be slave and the other master. Try moving it to the other IDE and try again. Worse case, the drive may be defective.

Re: Another DVD Burner Question...
I use DVD shrink to rip, then use ImgTool to create an image, and then DVD Decryptor to burn.
