I know a lot of people loved the books, finally it's making it's way to the big screen. I know I'm super excited, I've been waiting for this for a long, long time. I was afraid it wouldn't ever happen after Douglas Adams died, but looks like it should be out sometime next year!

Check out the webpage too, some big names like Sam Rockwell (Zaphod Beeblebrox) and John Malkovich (Humma Kavula) will be in it, along with ?(according to IMDB) the midget who played the leprechaun in the Leprechaun movies will be playing Marvin the Paranoid Android. Haha

OMG I JUST READ THIS!!! at first i thought it was really weird, but then it was good and funny in a weird way. but the end was horrible, unsatisfying and didnt tie up anything. it was like there was an opening and some conflict and thats it. bad overall book but good until the end.

Re: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Yeah, there's 5 books total. It was originally supposed to be a trilogy, but then he added the second two books several years later.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life, the Universe, and Everything
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Mostly Harmless

Re: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Loved the books, read them quite a while back. Recently re-read Life, The Universe, and Everything. That one's my favorite. I saw a movie a while back based on The Hitchhiker's Guide, it was a poorly made, not-so-funny British version though. The new one looks to be pretty decent.

Re: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Well, it's kinda hard to explain. It's alot of weird, funny shit that's not really supposed to make sense. I don't think this post would contain it if I really tried to answer that question. Maybe someone else is better at condensing shit than me. Basically though, this guy named Arthur Dent gets into all kinds of hilarious intergalactic shit after Earth gets blown up....

Re: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Yeah, I started writing a summary, but I couldn't do it either. Basically, Arthur finds out his best friend is an alien visiting the Earth to write an entry in a guide to the galaxy on it. Just after that, the Earth blows up and the two of them hitchhike on the alien spacecraft that blows it up, and then they travel through space and time.
