Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
You can re-flash the bios to the original if you need Live. It only takes a minute if you have the soldering job already done. And agblue is right, make sure the hard drive is locked.

Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
There's a guy around by us that will come and mod your xbox, and add on new menu option taking you into an emulator with a shitload of old video games (nintendo, sega, n64... not sure what else) for around $100.

Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
oh yeah, that guy did say he'll put in a larger hard drive too. I can't remember his number, but I think my roommate might still have his email address. I met him at a party I threw at my house and he was commenting on it because he saw my xbox hooked up. I didn't buy anything because it would interfere with xbox live and really because I didn't have any money at the time (still don't)

Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
Well I can mod and stick emulators on your box, its really easy. If your in VA let me know. Like above my xbox is my media center. I have a 100 gig hard drive in it, but thats for my games I backed up. I network the box to my pc to play any audio/video/pics. And of course I can emulate most systems.

Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
I can add all kinds of emulators as well(have 100's of roms already for different consoles, nes, sega, atari, snes, psx, gameboy, gameboy advance, many others that noone usually ever hears of). I am getting a hard drive from another modder friend that has 24,000 emulators and games. If anyone lives near New Mexico or feels like paying for shipping I charge $75 and you provide the hard drive you want(unless you just want to keep the stock one).

Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
There are plenty of software mods out there that are free and relatively easy. Just poke around some XBox forums and you'll find what you need to know.

Re: Has anyone modded their xbox'x here?
i paid 300 dollars for mine..included the xbox, 160 GB hard drive, xecuter 2 installation, all software needed to copy games/dvds and even more...minus the bios needed to actually get it working (bios needed are illegal, but you can find them on some irc chans) and some crazy good service.
