Re: building computer...DDR400 PC3200 RAM?

Corsair is definitely a little higher quality than Kingston... although saying that, I bought Kingston myself. I got it at a discount from the place I worked at the time. Running on 1 Gig Dual Channel DDR PC3200. Haven't had a single problem with the ram. I've used Kingston in other machines too.

Re: building computer...DDR400 PC3200 RAM?

They overclock about the same from my own testing. Both of them do binning anyways so you really aren't going to get a better overclock on one or the other. The good stuff gets marked up some more and sold as HyperX (Kingston) or XMS (Corsair). If your not even thinking about overclocking, then price is the way to go since they are very equivalent in terms of performance.

Either should be fine, it depends on what you want. I like OCZ.

If you don't plan on overlocking and don't want to spend the extra, I would highly recommend Kingston.

Corsair also has a lifetime warrenty. I have a 512 stick of PC3200LLPro RAM by Corsair, and have not regretted the purchase - definitly worth the money.

Re: building computer...DDR400 PC3200 RAM?

RAM is not something that I would go cheap on. It is worth spending a few extra dollars and get good RAM. Go with the corsair.

OCZ, Geil, Shikatronics, Mushkin, Corsair, and Kingston all make great RAM. Any of those would be a good purchase. Just make sure your purchase IS one of those!
