Well, so the local Classic Rock station is host "HawgFest" this weekend in Winter Park, Colorado. I am departing right after work Friday and riding up there and staying with some friends.

The line up is
Saturday -
The Groove Hawgs 1:30-2:00pm
Lynch Mob 2:30-3:30pm
Warrant 4:15-5:30pm
Tesla 6:00-7:30pm

Sunday -
The Groove Hawgs 12:00-1:00pm
War 1:30-2:30pm
Kenny Wayne Shepherd 3:00-4:15pm
Ted Nugent 4:45-6:15pm

It should be fun, even if the Weather is NOT going to cooperate.

Denver - (5280 Feet)
Friday Low: 52° High: 59° (Showers)
Saturday Low: 53° High: 62° (Showers)
Sunday Low: 52° High: 69° (Scattered T-Storms)

Winter Park - (9000 feet)
Friday Low: 39° High: 47°

I am debating on taking the Camera, as I have limited space in the Saddle bags, and I need some additional WARM weather clothing.

To start - Friday I left home at 5:45 so I could get to work before traffic and leave early, before traffic. It was raining nice and hard, and rather cool. Work sucked, as I was busy from the minute I got there, a short break for lunch, and stayed a little late to finish. I checked the weather at 1:30, and it was cool and a slight drizzle. I left work just before 3, it was Raining hard. Traffic sucked, stop and go on I-70 going out of Denver, and it was still Raining. I cruised on up the the mountain, and crossed over Berthoud Pass (9500 feet), and it was sleet mixes with he rain, and I was freezing my ass off! I got to the condo, about 2 1/2 hours after I left work (normally a 1 1/2 drive). Saturday we woke up to some more Rain, and SNOW! It was snowing about 10 AM, nice big flakes. Nothing was stinking around where area the show was to be played, but they CANCELED the whole weekend anyway!!!! It stopped snowing about 1030, and the rain was light and intermittent the rest of the day! Sunday was very nice, cool but no rain. So we went into the town of Winter park and attended the Veterans Rally, and saw Molly Hatcher play. That was fun. All of about 1200 people, maybe! Rode home today, it was great! There is a couple of inches of Snow on the Mountain tops now. And it is AUGUST!!!!! So, no show. :-( But lots of fun drinking and hanging out doing nothing but drinking, and watching Olympics. (Team Handball, Basketball, Diving, etc)
