Let's see, two presidents died this day in 1826, exactly 50 years following the signing of the declaration of independence; John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.

Let someone else add more trivia...

Re: 4th Of July - How much do you know?

$2.4 million was the dollar value of U.S. flags exported in 2007. Mexico was the leading customer, purchasing $1.2 million worth. Of those sold to Mexico, most cross back across the boarder shortly after being sold there.

Philadelphia was the second capitol of the US. Will Smith shortly there after moved to California to be the prince of Bel-Air.

Your answer for #1 appears to be incorrect.

Per the US Census Bureau the population in 1776 was about 2.5 million
and the population for 2008 was 304 million.

Maybe the 1.2 million figure for 1776 was only counting white folk.

I would have guessed (based on mindset of the era) that they only counted white males of voting age since they were the only ones that mattered (back then).

Slaves counted as 3/5 of one white person. Part of the Great Compromise.
