Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
Personally, I don't use protection of any kind. (I've been snipped ) I still feel that it is the guy's responsibility.

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
Well... it's both's responsibility to know that there's some sort of protection being used... obviously...
You have to take responsibility for your own actions.
But, I guess, due to the nature of the most common methods of birth control - the pill and condoms - it's the guy who has to do the work really... he either has to make sure she's on the pill, or make sure he has condoms. So by default, the guy ends up having a bit more responsibility. A lot of girls carry condoms or have them at home though.
Basically, sex is a team sport, so it's both team member's responsibility that they're playing safely. Assumptions are just plain stupid.
So are girl who let guys fuck them without condoms and don't expect the occasional load in the cooter though... (see Girl's Pics Forum) LOL

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
Both. But if it has to be one of them then the guy for the condoms and girl for the pill. You don't really have to make sure that she's on the pill, most girls already use it when they're still virgins. At least over here.

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
I think it's mutual. My girl is on the pill, and I use a condom. My girlfriend bought condoms last time I visited to make sure I had some, that was hot.

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
It has to be both. No question about it, I can't see how it could be one persons responsibility, when two people are in on the act.

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
I think that it is the responsibility of each person to take care of their own health and safet. I make sure that is always taken care of because I'd never just leave that in the hands of another person. I do, however, have great respect for any man who can bring up the topic and respects me enough to ask me about it.

mutual is best, but it really comes down to whoever doesn't want to get sick or be a parent!!

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
I'd have to say mutual. But I think I lean toward the guy having the expectation to be ready.

Mutual. Both people should care enough about their health.

Re: Protection, His or Her Responsibility
Mutual for sure. I wouldn't take a girl's word to take her pill responsibly and then have her turn around and hit me up for child support. That may sound misogynistic, but it's just how it is.
