Weekend party/food ideas
This weekend, I'm gonna throw a good ole' shindig at my house. The folks coming are friends and family; many will have children with them. Any good ideas for things to do to keep everyone busy, especially the kids?
Here's the stuff I normally keep for games and things:
volleyball
horseshoes
balls, bats, gloves
sidewalk chalk
BB gun (Just kidding!!)
Also, I'm going to grill all the food. I've used about every type of marinade known in the southern part of our great country. How about giving up some cooking secrets and letting my guests taste some foods cooked in other parts of the country? In the case of WR, some ideas may come from around the world.

Re: Weekend party/food ideas
Ok in SoCal you need a pinata. You can put cheapy toys instead of candy and the kids love it. Just make sure you let the little ones go first and make sure you have a big kid at the end to insure it gets busted.
As far as food goes, I like fajitas or quesadillas (cheese and/or chicken) in addition to the standard stuff. Simple and cheap.

Re: Weekend party/food ideas
Good ideas on the kids and the food. I may change up my menu. Originally, I was leaning towards larger pieces/cuts of meat, such as pork tenderloins and turkey breasts; all meat would be cooked on my grill.
