See, I like a little of everything, but Hardcore and Hip Hop are my favorite genres. If you know what TRUE hip hop is and what it stands for, it may change your opinion about the genre. Rap is all that shit you see of MTV/BET (with the exception of a few, talented people), whereas hip hop has been around since one can remember. The times of spoken word, graffiti, b-boy's/girl's, spilling your guts to a mic and not caring what anyone thought. Making music for yourself and your fans. Not some corporate ass whole who can't even write a song, yet alone a couplet.
Okay, enough of my spew about hip hop. lol
All the bands you mentioned are great (except white/Rob Zombie, IMO).
But, in all honesty, if it's got talent and they can either: write or sing, they are good in my book.
I use the term "hardcore" to specifically describe the genre. I'm not talking about all this posie hardcore that has gotten big amongst
teens lately. I'm talking 80's/90's hardcore (BANE, JUDGE, TEN YARD FIGHT, etc...) and then I use "tough guy" hardcore for working out and just fucking shit up! lol Stuff like Throwdown, First Blood, Walls of Jericho, Full Blown Chaos.
That's just my two cents. But a little Jazz, and Blues would be awesome! I'd love to get some Yngwie Malmsteen and SRV!
