I'm kinda reposting something that I put in the music section.

What kind of music does everyone like? I'm a fan of most rock and metal. I also like some pop, but in small doses. I like country as long as it was made before the bastardization that happened in the 90's. Rap is ok in small doses, but I can't stand hip hop.

Part of the reason I want to know is to help with my music sharing. I have been uploading full discographies for the last few weeks. I try to do one per week with people voting on what they want. I've only done 2 polls and am only getting 6 votes each time. I'd like more votes so I can get a better idea of what people want. I offer 3 bands each time with an option to write in a vote if you don't like my selections. Write ins that don't win get entered into a future poll as long as I have their albums to offer.

The poll this week is between NIN, Tool and White/Rob Zombie. I'll upload every studio album on the 5th for the winning band.

You can also look in the music and movie section to find discographies for Iron Maiden, Rush and Guns N Roses. I have a small collection of Stevie Ray Vaughan up and will be posting the Whitesnake Discography tomorrow.

See, I like a little of everything, but Hardcore and Hip Hop are my favorite genres. If you know what TRUE hip hop is and what it stands for, it may change your opinion about the genre. Rap is all that shit you see of MTV/BET (with the exception of a few, talented people), whereas hip hop has been around since one can remember. The times of spoken word, graffiti, b-boy's/girl's, spilling your guts to a mic and not caring what anyone thought. Making music for yourself and your fans. Not some corporate ass whole who can't even write a song, yet alone a couplet.

Okay, enough of my spew about hip hop. lol

All the bands you mentioned are great (except white/Rob Zombie, IMO).

But, in all honesty, if it's got talent and they can either: write or sing, they are good in my book.

I use the term "hardcore" to specifically describe the genre. I'm not talking about all this posie hardcore that has gotten big amongst teens lately. I'm talking 80's/90's hardcore (BANE, JUDGE, TEN YARD FIGHT, etc...) and then I use "tough guy" hardcore for working out and just fucking shit up! lol Stuff like Throwdown, First Blood, Walls of Jericho, Full Blown Chaos.

That's just my two cents. But a little Jazz, and Blues would be awesome! I'd love to get some Yngwie Malmsteen and SRV!
