Hello everyone!

I have a digital camcorder and want to make some DVD's. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to do this. Can someone point me to a DVD for Dummies type site or have some way of helping me with this project?

I want to use the camcorder to record some summer activities and projects my son and I will work on. Here is what I have:

(1) JVC DF 430 Mini DV camcorder (uses small DV tapes)
(1) extra battery
(1) remote control
assortment of cables for connecting the camera to my computer

I am using Windows XP and assume the computer will recognize my camera when I plug in.

I have some DV editing programs on CD's that came with my laptop when I purchased the laptop a few years ago. They include:

ASUSDVD XP
Intervideo WinDVD4
PowerDirector Pro
VideoMVP
Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2
VideoImpression 1.6

These programs are a few years old and I may need to update/upgrade to something more current. If purchase any new program, I need the program to be extremely user friendly. Remember, it's FMB's comp skills we're talking about here!

Any ideas, tips, or help??
