Re: Guitar Hero World Tour
Not exactly sure of the idea, but was visiting with my son last week in Michigan and watched some folks do a "battle of the bands" using the guitar hero game. Very weird. I'm old school and am used to real instruments. My son (6 years old) thought it was the greatest thing ever seen!

meh, the game doesn't really need drums. it's fine the way it is. Though adding drums does give them an excuse to rape you over the price

I wonder if you can play the game without drums. And can you possibly buy it without the drums?

Re: Guitar Hero World Tour
Ive plaid Guitar Heroe a couple times, its fun and all but some people take it to the limit. The notes they have to play in the screen are just insane and you see them smashing the fuck out of that plastic guitar trying to hit notes that dont make sense at all.
I like it but if you can play fuckin raining blood in expert you should stop right there and get your life back

Re: Guitar Hero World Tour
this is no doubt being done in response to Rock Band, which is coming out for the Wii, I think, at the end of the month.
Since RB will now be on all the major consoles GH needs to keep up - it's almost as exciting as the US-Soviet arms race during the Cold War. They don't want to get caught in a "Controller Gap"...

Re: Guitar Hero World Tour
Whatever happened to going down to a pawnshop or somesuch to get a cheap guitar and do it for real - that's how 95% of the real guitar heroes did it (5% allowance made for those who had lessons)

Re: Guitar Hero World Tour
ever notice how all the people who play the real guitar suck at GH, its nothing on them, too simple/different fingering. I know a wr member who is fucking fantastic at playing the guitar and he isn't very good at GH. I would rather play the real guitar.
