This happens with veggies all the time. There's always a scare. I remember working at places that stopped using lettuce, and spinach, and other vegetables. There is ALWAYS a possibility of getting salmonella or e. coli from plants. The best thing to do is wash your damn food before you go eating cow shit.

this has been in the news for a couple of weeks. We went out to eat last week and the restaurant told us they had recalled all their tomatoes. Lucky for me my order required none or i'd have been pissed

Farms all over the place use cow manure in their fertilizer. The Spinach farms in West Texas included. This is where the "soiled" spinach was supposed to have come from.
