Am I the only one who looks at thread titles and considers reading the thread, then looks at the thread starters name, sees "YaMon", and moves on?

I don't know why. It's subconscious at this point. I have no beef, I am not offended or annoyed, and I don't mind YaMon at all as far as I know. But I for some reason avoid his threads.

Weird.

So as not to make anyone butt-hurt, I skip threads started by certain others as well. I just happened to notice myself doing it for YaMon's right now and I have no clue why!

With me it isn't so much the author, but the topic.

If it mentions "Al Gore", "Hillary", "union", "democrat", or "global warming", then usually I will skip it.

A lot of times that will be a Yamon thread, but generally nowadays there are several folks that post threads with irritating (IMO) opinions about the aforementioned key words, and I usually (but unfortunately not always) catch myself before bothering to click into these threads as well.

Yamon threads that do not meet the key word test are more often than not just as funny as all hell.

Amendment: I think of skipping, but skim anyway because it's "my job". Not all the time. But when I'm feeling nice I do that.

With 50 billion banter mods we should be able to skip a thread every once in a while, no?
