Yep. Saw this yesterday.

When I used to live in San Francisco, sharks were always in the back of my mind when surfing up there.

One place I surfed quite a bit, Stinson Beach, had a great white attack and death about a year after I moved back to SoCal.

Hell. It's their playground too!

But an attack in San Diego is a bit crazy.

I had to lie to my kid and tell him there was a sewage spill because we were suppossed to go to the beach today. They have closed the beaches from where it happened all the way up to me at Carlsbad State Beach.

I personally think it was a freak attack, and the kid just plays on the shoreline, but I don't want to be the asshole mom with his kid on the beach while everyone else is heading the warnings.

Damn! I've heard of people "heeding" warnings before.

But I didn't know you could give them "head"!?

You a freaky baby doll jshizz. I'd think you'd be all over the head!

Re: Great White Shark 1 - California Swimmer 0

Was news watching the last night about this. They were saying that the sea lions in the area were refusing to go into the water for hours before this happened. Wildlife control thought the sea lions were ill. Nope just smarter than your average tri-athlete. Can you picture the news story as Wild life control drags sea lions into the water to watch them eaten by a shark minutes later?
