I can't stand this woman.
Hillary Clinton has got to be the worst candidate this year. If it wasn't for G Dub, I'd say the worst in history, but he wins that one no contest. I know politicians lie, but this woman takes the cake. At least other politicians lies aren't so... obvious.

Re: I can't stand this woman.
Jimi, many people may not agree with your statement about Hillary. I don't like her, but I don't like Obama, either. Whether Democrat, Republican, Independent, or Green, all politicians are liars.
At times, I think an election boils down to a determination of which candidate and party our citizens can stomach.

Re: I can't stand this woman.
why is she still in the race? she can't catch Obama. The Republicans know their candidate and are off to a head start. is she planning to blow and fuck a few key superdelegates?

Re: I can't stand this woman.
She is still in the race because as much as Obama's followers would like to think he has it won, he doesn't.
It is very close to a 50/50 split in the Democratic party as to who is the preferred candidate Hillary or Barack.
Furthermore, every day more issues surface to call into question Barack's ultimate electability in the general election.
I said months ago that the Democrats were going down a fool's path in putting forth either of these candidates as the nominee, particularly Obama.
Once again The Democrats are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as only they can do so well.
I'm an independent voter, and I can pretty much assure you now that I don't like what the Democrats have to offer - and I am fairly confident that there are a lot of folks like me, socially liberal fiscally conservative voters, who are on the same page.
McCain, as a centrist candidate, has a far greater appeal.

Well... you have to be cautious about this statement. You know that Clinton has an army of private detectives trying to dig up some dirt on Obama that will turn the tide against him. It was no coincidence that the Reverend Wright story surfaced when it did-- although the tape was 2 years old.
It is mathematically impossible for Clinton to beat Obama at this point, unless she can convince superdelegates leaning to Obama to switch their allegiance to her. She's hanging in the race hoping that her operatives will be able to find -- or create (remember the 42 mysterious deaths that happened during the Bill Clinton administration) -- a scandal before the convention.
Before the primaries began I would never have believed that Obama would still be in the race at this point, much less the likely nominee. He lacks anything in the way of accomplishments-- the majority of his voting record is filled with "NV's" (not voting). His popularity says more about the awakening awareness among the public about how deeply corrupt the career politicians have become, than about his qualifications. People want change, and are willing to risk that an unknown quantity will fail rather than remain with the known status quo that Hilary represents.

I hate the fact that this BIOTCH will be coming to Denver!!!
Keep your eyes on the news, I will be writing things on my 01 Tahoe and driving it downtown Denver during the Crappy Convention. It will be clean, but mean
"Hillary Mis-peaks more then Pinochio!"
"Bill lied and so will Hillary"
"Bill marked the Blue dress while watching Hillary doing Monica!"
"Hillary does not have the Balls declare War!"

It is also mathematically impossible for Obama to beat Hillary at this point. Unfortunately for the Dems it will come down to the super delegates no matter what. The republicans will use that to say that a "House of Lords" picked the democratic candidate, whoever it is.
What I find funny is the North Carolina Republicans are running smear ads against Obama. They would rather face Hillary. McCain is saying he can't control them. I believe him. However, it does say a lot about him that his own party won't listen to him already. How effective will he be as a leader?
This thread is getting too serious for this forum.

Re: I can't stand this woman.
What you have to consider is who the people who didn't vote for Obama in the primary are going to vote for in November. Looking at PA you will note that Obama only won a few counties and only one by 51% to 49% margin Philadelphia was one of them and with it's high black population you would have expected him to crush Hilliary. I was surprised to see the recently elected black mayor of Philadelphia come out for Hilliary.
Quote:
The Race Factor in Pa. Primary By Katharine Q. Seeley
Updated Although 19 percent of voters in Pennsylvania said that race played an important role in how they voted, Gov. Ed Rendell, who was Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s chief architect in the state, says it did not appear to be “much” of a factor.
Mr. Rendell got into some hot water back in February when he said of the Pennsylvania primary: “You’ve got conservative whites here, and I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate.”
Now, exit polls from yesterday’s primary appear to confirm that view. The polls, conducted by Edison/Mitofsky for the five television networks and The Associated Press, asked voters if the race of the candidate was important: 19 percent said yes, while 80 percent said no.
Of those who said yes, 59 percent voted for Mrs. Clinton and 41 percent voted for Senator Barack Obama.
Of those who said no, 53 percent voted for Mrs. Clinton and 47 percent voted for Mr. Obama.
Broken down by race, 13 percent of whites said race was important to them, and 75 percent of those voters sided with Mrs. Clinton. Of the 66 percent of whites who said race was not important to them, 58 percent voted for her.
On a Clinton-sponsored conference call today, Mr. Rendell said that “plenty of whites” supported Mr. Obama.
“I don’t think it was much of a factor,” Mr. Rendell said. “Is race a factor? I think the exit poll said 19 percent of people said race was a factor, but I don’t think it was a factor that affected the outcome. She did a great job campaigning in this state.”
Mr. Rendell understandably might want to minimize the role of race in the election, given the criticism his earlier comments drew.
The exit polls showed that Mrs. Clinton won among both white men (56 percent) and white women (66 percent), which is not to say that she won their support either because she is white or Mr. Obama is black. At the same time, black voters in Pennsylvania, as has been the case in other states, voted lopsidedly for Mr. Obama: 93 percent of black men and 87 percent of black women were on his side. (African-Americans make up about 13 percent of the state’s overall population.)
Update | 7:15 p.m.: Many readers are asking for the breakdown of how many black voters said that race influenced their vote, since we give the breakdown for white Pennsylvanians. The reason we did not include them is that only 13 percent of black voters responded to the question.
Nonetheless, here is what the exit polls reported: 4 percent of blacks said that the race of the candidate was important to them. The numbers were too small for the poll to measure how many of that 4 percent supported Mrs. Clinton and how many supported Mr. Obama.
Nine percent of black voters said race was not important; 9 percent of them voted for Mrs. Clinton and 91 percent of them voted for Mr. Obama.
That 19 percent who said race was important to them was not evident in earlier polls. This has revived talk in the blogosphere of the “Bradley effect” (in which voters overstated to pollsters the degree to which they would support a black candidate) and raised questions about how big a factor race was and will be as the campaign moves forward.

Re: I can't stand this woman.
I love how the "race factor" is so played up in this election...I'm sorry but it's the typical "black victim" mentality IMO, and most of it is coming from the Obama camp.
Look at it... You have a poll where white people are asked whether or not race is a factor, and of those who say "yeah it is" (a whopping 19%), 59% voted Hillary and 41% voted Obama. Those who said no, 53% voted for Clinton and 47% voted Obama.
Can you say "BIG FUCKING DEAL"?
I think the REAL racist vote is the 91% of black voters who pulled the lever for Obama, despite all that Bill & Hillary, in their history of public service, have done to give that group of people a helping hand.
Oh but yeah let's focus on the white minority that won't vote for a black man.
To use an oft-coined phrase, "NIGGA PLEASE!!!"
Just another case of the white man keeping the black man down.
Right.
Wish for "Hope & Change" all you want, this guy is gonna go down in flames come November.
Personally, I don't give two shits to Sunday that the guy is black, I care about the fact that he's GREEN, not in an environmental way but in an experienced legislator at a federal level way - and a lot of folks are with me on this.
Watch & learn how things work first, Obama - then come back in 2012 & try to take the helm, if you have the stones to do so.
