Public schools here no longer teach any type of political sciences as part of their regular curriculum. It's no wonder high school students are coming out with no clue how their government functions, or even how a company is created, run, or destroyed. It all makes sense, keep your population stupid and you can continue to sap revenue from them til they bleed. Mass medicate their water supply and keep them subdued. We're fukt!

Every football coach at my high school either taught government/economics, PE, or study hall. Mostly Gov/Econ.

edit: which... I was joking but my comment is kind of fitting because I remember when I was in high school the football coaches both taught Health Ed.

Our football coach taught PE and was building superintendent. My political science teacher was a ex-basketball player who talked mostly of his college exploits. We didn't have Health or sex-ed class back in the 60's. It was a catholic high school. If you wanted gay sex education I guess you could have voluntered as a altar boy.

this feller said it back in the early 50's :



basically he said that he would not have to attack the USA directly , that we would destroy ourselves from within utilizing/because of (in part) some of the above .
he would wait until we were ripe for the pickin' .

the spanish inquisition/vatican used similar tactics ... keep the people ignorant , uneducated , do not allow them to think for themselves , withhold the truths , destroy references to anything other than the "approved" line of thinking ... the list goes on .

hey , isn't that some of the same stuff hitler , stalin and many other dictatorial "leaders" used ?

School really hasn't ever taught life skills, other then math, but something as important as politics and how their gov't/leadership works should be something kids should want to find out on their own. That's how I learned. Feeling ignorant about very important issues, as well as not understanding what's going on in the world id a horrible feeling. Hell, I've tried to learn about American and British systems just because of the major roles they play in world affairs which effects everyone...
But that's just me.
