So, for a like me, I've noticed that a few people are hovering at the "rep max".

Actually, CWB has reached it. Well, in truth what's happened is he can no longer get any new balls or gold bars or whatever. But his rep "numbers" are still accumulating. Both Ya-Mon and I are within a few thousand points of that happening to us.

So, what do we do about that? Some people have in the past had their rep reset down to zero or a few thousand points. But I kinda like having all that power (Mwah-hah-hah-hah) not only in an evil way, but good way. I like to be able to throw down moar than a thousand points every time I rep someone.

I (of course) would love to see the rep balls be unlimited and that my rep could just run down the side of the page unabated. But, I suppose that could cause problems.

So, what do you guys think of this dilemma?

I asked BiPolar awhile back about it, but he has been pretty busy. It was only a matter of time before more of you maxed out as I and did. We both reset ours. You do have another user title you can get. We can always make more of them too.

Oh, by the way, I saw another board that has a rep system like ours, but they give Green Suns instead of WR Balls...They max out at 20 as well. Last time we discussed a reset, we found many members were against it, they like having what they have earned. Honestly, it really isn't a big deal if you think about it.

well I've already re-set mine once and will probably do so again once I max out again (if I do ).

I understand some folks like the increased power they get giving/taking rep, but from my perspective that doesn't matter since my rep power is static.

Having said that, a member's rep power is not based exclusively on how many points they have - things like time as a member, # of posts, # of threads etc. are also contributing factors.

And then there are those of us that LIKE Rep, but really do not care.
I look as REP as a little note that that person really does appreciate (or angers) what you have said or done.
I have enough Balls for what I need, I just like the comments.

you get your own smiley whenever us lazy mods feel like giving you one. dont matter if you are a gold or have been here years....it does matter if you deep throat waldo or we see ya naked a few times be it in pics or in RL
