If you could go back in time and change one thing in your, or someone elses life, what would it be and why?


For me, it would have to be the time I thought the gun wasn't loaded. Shot a family member, lived but traumatized the shit out of me for a while. I was 14 at the time.

I would probably go back to a year and a half ago and check over my tie rods on my drag car. A cracked Heim joint sheered at the tierod at 115 mph and threw me head on into the wall. I survived but i felt like i had been run over by a truck for a week and a half, impact was so severe that my brain had shifted and hit the back of my eyes and caused severe cranial swelling and i couldnt see right for 3 days. I spent 2 of those days in the hospitial.

Didn't break anything and luckily walked away with only a few cuts and bruises but i've lived with back and hip pain ever since. Sucks sometimes feeling like im 80 at only 21. I got off easy on the car....it was salvageable. Although it did cost me roughly 8 grand to get it back in racing condition. Its a memorable experience doing 115 and then staring into a 3 foot high concrete barrier.

there aren't many things I would change....3 total
1. I would have stayed gone the first time I left my ex and not gone back to be hit
2. I would have stayed off the coke when I was a kid and actually paid attention in school.

3. Never picked up a cigarette.

I would go back to 1999, when I chose partying and friends over my girlfriend. We had a child together who soon after passed away unexpectedly. That left me with alot of guilt for not being around much tward the end of her life.

Been there brother, choosing the fucked up life instead of the good life...know it too well.

Thing with me though is i left all that shit and all my friends because of it a long time ago and a few years ago i went out one night to party with them and they were just doing the same things and still living the same fucked up life and drugged up and drunk.Havn't been back and that was about 3 years ago.

At first, I had several things I'd have chosen to go back and change..but then realized that if I did that, then my son would've never been born....so I dont' wanna change much anymore.

I'd go back and pay more attention in college when I hate the time and means to do so. I'd already have a BA and my son and I would be living a lot better than what we are right now, and school wouldn't be so hard.

I'd have never moved into the house I'm in now..it sucks!

I'd have never gotten my credit card

I'd have never started smoking

Oh, and I would spend more time w/ my son when he was first born instead of going right back to work. I miss having a small baby around, even with the every hour feedings.
