Ok, so I'm going into my Sophomore year at College. At the end of the school year, I broke up with my girlfriend of the past 6 months at college, because a.) things were getting a little out of hand emotionally and I wasn't prepared for that kind of relationship, b.) I wasn't gonna see her at all for the next 3 months anyway, and c.) I was beginning to wonder if I could get...well, better if you know what I mean.

So far this summer, I have been unable to a.) get any and b.) still think about the ex and try to talk to her.

So what am I?
1.) You did the right thing - keep trying and you'll get over her.
2.) You are a retard if you did indeed like her (as it seems you do) you should not have treated her like crap
3.) This post is way too long and I don't care to answer.

i wouldnt say you did the right thing... but i wouldnt say you are a retard either... if you felt it was the right thing to do, then you did do the right thing, u wanted to explore other options... it happens, but if you regret it now, and for reasons other than because you arent getting any, then maybe it was a mistake, and you should try to get her back, it might take some work, but if it was meant to be then it will...

If you are questioning it, and aren't gonna be seeing each other for long periods of time, college is not the right time to be tied down by a relationship that you may not be entirely happy in (I'll be a soph this year). Even though my ex from Junior/Senior year and I have started getting back together, we're not gonna do the whole relationship thing right now because we're at different schools 1900 miles away... we figure if anything is meant to happen with us, when we're done with college in 3 years, the chance will be there.
