Catan
A strategy card game. Friend showed it to me at school the other day. I picked it up for about 50% off for my bday. I got the expansions pack with it, but haven't tried that part yet. It has won numerous game of the year awards.

Re: Catan
Are you talking about Settlers/Seafarers/etc. of Catan? One of the greatest board games out there right now. Enjoy, sir.

Re: Catan
I love this game, some girl got me addicted to it and I was playing it weekly for awhile. There's so many expansions out for it now too, but I have yet to try them. I've played the Settlers of Catan, and like that the most. Recently I tried Starfarers of Catan, not an expansion but a remake of the original only in space with a whole new element to it that's pretty fun. I saw Amazon has a reduced rate when you order Settlers of Catan, Seafarers of Catan, Cities and Knights of Catan, and then the 5-6 player expansions of all three of those. I was thinking of asking for it for Christmas, since it's a little more than I would normally spend on a board game... but they are a lot of fun.

Re: Catan
I have played the board game. I was talking about the card gamer version, it's only two players.

Re: Catan
Thought I'd dig this up because I found a site that has an unofficial version of Settlers of Catan (called Xplorers here) and Carcassonne (called Toulouse) a similar German board game. It's free, and you can play against other people online for rankings or just make a game by yourself and play against the computer.

Also, there's an official site where you can play the dice version of Settlers of Catan, along with a few other game here, only downside is you can only play once per day.
