So Nick got tickets this morning for Rage against the machine.. however he could not secure pavillion seating and we had to settle for lawn seats..

im not pissed off yet.. just dissapointed.. but still glad to be going.. here is what ticked me off.

So I go on EBAY.. and search for rage tickets, cause im curious how many were already on there from the damn scalpers.. Well the first reslut i came to was ending shortly and the 2 tickets were fetching around 250 for seating.. So the scalper had already name 130 buck on them. FUCKER.. now for the part that pissed me off royally.. HE STARTED THE AUCTION YESTERDAY!!(FRIDAY).. HOW IN THE FUCK DID HE GET TICKETS A DAY BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE.. I am so sick of these ticket vendor services.. Ticketmaster isn't your friend. They DO NOT care about the consumer.. As long as they get their $.. they dont care if scalpers get the tickets.





Anyhow im po'd.. but still glad i get to see rage...

Eh, all ticket services are kind of like that, the SF Giants are worse. I live in the Bay Area but I try to see my Yankees once a year when they come to town. They'd already come to play Oakland and I missed that roadtrip which was their only one there. Lucky for me they're playing the Giants in interleague play, so I go to the Giants website to buy some tickets. Problem is they're bastards and can't sell tickets to a lot of their less hyped games, so in order to buy Yankees tickets you have to buy a "six pack" of tickets that includes buying tickets for five other games. I didn't have that kinda money so I was forced to buy scalper style tickets for the first time in my life off stubhub.com. Ended up costing me a hundred and fifty bucks for a pair of upper deck seats when you include their "commision fee" and the shipping. Face value on the tickets is 29 bucks a piece.

Ticket Master has never been anyone's friend. They have always had rediculous prices, fees and seldom the good seats remain for the normal buyer.

As for Sports teams, the Really sucky ones HAVE to sell packages, because they know no one will buy the other games, so they try to screw the fans. It is ALWAYS about the $$$

I bought three tickets onlive for the NHRA Races here this summer, I was SHCOKED they where not going through TM!!! Some other company that had only $3.00 fee, for all three tickets!!! NO other BS FEE's!! :D :D

Someone should write their Congressman and ask them t investigate the Scalping and BS Fees!!

The internet has made scalping perfectly legal, how fucked is that? Ozzfest is free this year, but plenty of people scooped up tickets just so they could sell them on ebay.

By the way, adrenaline, did you find it wierd that Rage's tour stops are in CA, NY, and East Troy, Wisconsin? No Chicago? But instead a little bum-fuck town in SE WI.

im pretty sure Alpine is the biggest venue in the midwest.. therefore its actually the "chicago" stop for Rage.

Hmm... could be. I never really thought it was that big, but who knows. Can't say I've been there since '01. Honestly, I hate the place, but alas, they seem to always draw the big acts.
