I know that it works on Home and Pro, not sure about the stripped down versions.
I would try it on a virtual pc before I took any chances....

thanks didnt work for me though

i have xp home sp2 and it doesnt work.. gets up to step 4 roll up 2 and comes up with an error box saying "need windows media centre to install"
