I think it was about 4 years ago...
Me and my brother used to share a room in 'mums house'. We had Sky in his name but i'd give him half the subscription fee monthly.
So on this April 1st, he had his own place at this point, we'd left sky as it was, coming out of his accout and under his name and I just gave him the £40 or whatever a month to save the hassle of changeover.
So anyway, My brother's a wee bit of a worrier occasionally and I thought I'd use this to my advantage!!. My 'at the time' girlfriend had an english next door neighbour (i'm in Scotland) and she sounded very proffesional on the phone, and I thought 'perfect, I could get her to call up and pretend she's from a Sky Call Centre, my bro would never suspect anything because it would just seem more real with a non-scottish, well spoken accent on the phone'
Anyways, there was 7 of us in the room, we put the phone on loudspeaker and just kept quiet.
I got her to phone up and say that someone had phoned us (sky) asking about cancelling Sky or changing the package, at first he claimed to be you (as in my bro) then later claimed to be your younger brother (as in me).
So on and so forth, the gist was that the signal from sky had been blocked til my bro could confirm Sky as in his name and such. Then as he tried to explain things, we just kept adding more and more to the situation, an engineer would have to be called out to re-connect it.... This was going to cost £75 which would automatically be taken from my bro's account.... and after more 'almost desperate explaining' she added that a further £50 would have to be paid once the engineer had finished his part....a new sky box may be required costing another £49.....we may ask for full payement of the rest of the years subscription in advance....

Then when we could take no more, we all just started laughin hysterically down the phone, My brother was soooo worried about his mortgage and bills for that month and then when he realised what was going on he was totally sickened to find it was all a prank!
I'm not sure he is completely at ease every april 1st around me to this day LOL

many years ago i disabled the lights in the house , except for the light in the kitchen . it was rigged so that when my gf came home after work (at night) and flipped the switch there was a blinding flash and a minor explosion .
to add to the effect , i was in hiding ... i jumped out and grabbed her from behind ... she peed her pants a little .

Alot, cant really decide which one to put. I only screw with people who have given me grief. I can be a vindictive bastard. I do remember one as a kid though. I built this device before you could buy it.

Basically, if it was dark, it would put out this ear piercing wail. as soon as light hit the sensor on it, it would shut off. I put it on top of the fridge towards the wall. Hid all the flashlights in the house. had a good hour of laughs as my father tried to find this thing in the dark with it screaming. It was smaller than a pack of cigs.
