Kaspersky & Vista!?
I just bought a Compaq laptop that has windows vista basic on it.
I installed kaspersky thats vista compatible, the beta version of kaspersky, and whenever I try to update it doesnt quite update anything but 2 files...
Now whenever I turn my laptop on, after 20 seconds of loading, it goes to a blue screen where it says your laptop is being shut down due to programs harming it or something similar..
So I was wondering if that was kaspersky's problem??!
And what could I do to fix this? :(

Re: Kaspersky & Vista!?
boot your puter up in safe mode and uninstall kaspersky and see if that was the problem.

Re: Kaspersky & Vista!?
It wont let me do any changes (ex: Install/Uninstall) In safe mode.
So I just crossed my fingers and hoped it wont shut down while I turn it back on in normal windows and uninstall kaspersky and Winrar...
This morning, I installed Norton 2007 instead of kaspersky (Sigh, I hate norton, I love kaspersky so much though I want it so bad to work!!)
Ran a full scan, and since then my laptop has been up and running with no error, I'll try to hook it up to the internet today, mess around with it, and see if it gives me the death screen anymore.
Thanks for your reply drktitan56

Re: Kaspersky & Vista!?
well it would be best if we identify the problem just for curiosity, it can be a compatibility error or it can be something else but n e way if you do find out what initially caused the "blue screen of death" then you can fix it and still have Kaspersky....b/c i doubt that kapersky did damage too your computer but then again you never know...well laterz
