Re: Cheating
My motto is that if the relationship is at a point where you'd consider cheating, then it is time to end it. I believe in finishing one thing before starting another. Trust isn't something to be fucked with. If you can't make the commitment to be monogamous, then you need to tell the other person that.

Re: Cheating
i would never cheat! if i was in a position where i was tempted to cheat, then there is obviously something not right in my relationship.

Re: Cheating
I see no reason in cheating. That's just being greedy and it shows a total lack of respect towards the other person that you supposedly love. Get out of your current relationship if you want someone else.

Re: Cheating
I just ended my 7 month relationship last week because for the past 2 or 3 weekends, I wanted to cheat on my gf and came very close to it (we live 2 hrs apart right now). I was in denial for a week or two (cause the sex was unbelievable) but I finally faced the fact that I was being unfair and ended it with her. It was definitely for the best, I respected her way too much to lie to her or hurt her. And I hooked up with a hot chick Saturday night. Hell yeah single, I forgot how good you are!

Re: Cheating
Cheating is a hard concept to deal with when you're talking to somebody who doesn't believe in sex before marriage. What constitutes cheating in that case (besides sex, of course).
But no, I wouldn't cheat. I date in order to find a partner for the rest of my life, and that being the case, it's a little more holy than "Well I got drunk, and one thing led to another." Not much sanctity in relationships nowadays. But I suppose I'm old fashioned.
Juan, sorry to hear about that. You're obviously hurt--or were. Good to hear you're having fun though Love can be a bitch sometimes. Lots of times, really.

Re: Cheating
Absolutely not. I won't even put myself in the situation, i.e. drinking/hanging out w/chick friends. There's been times I'd have liked to since I've been with my wife, but didn't give in. It's happened in the past, but guilts a bitch when you really care for someone.

Re: Cheating
Why not just end it? If you cheat you dont have much of a relationship anyway.

Re: Cheating
For the record, don't be the one that someone cheats *with* either. The rule "everybody gets hurt" still applies.

Re: Cheating
This old thread just keeps coming back from beyond, doesn't it? Can't keep a good topic down, I guess.
I had the opportunity to cheat a couple of times in past relationships, and although it typically wasn't all that tempting of a prospect, I did give it a second though the last time, as my most recently expired relationship could hardly have been called "good" or "worthwhile" for either of us....
But it was still "committed", as a mutual bond between two consentual people tends to be, and until such time as we finally agreed, in no uncertain terms, to go our separate ways, I wasn't going to betray that.
As was inevitable, the relationship did end, and I'm glad I still have a clear conscience for having done (or, rather, not done) what I did (or, rather, did not do).

Re: Cheating
They did some study and found that women are more likely to cheat. I don't think its because they are meaner or less monogamous, I think it's just because they have more opportunities. If guys could get more action, I bet they would. Guys are guys- what can I say?
