Re: The Wings have got it.
Another win for the Pens tonight. In a SO. Thats five in a row. The Devils feel the heat behind them.

Oh and Draggon...Fleury will be fine....I mean, he's not stopping everything in sight, but he is giving his team enough stops to keep winning. Not everyone is a Brodeur behind the net.

Re: The Wings have got it.
I hope Brodeur does play behind the net...for your Pens sake!
That, and because if Minny or NJ win anything you can bet more teams will turn back to the defensive style...no matter how many phantom calls are made.

Re: The Wings have got it.
I agree, the Presidents Trophy means nothing. If anything it's a curse. To be honest, all I want to see them do in the regular season is win the division. After that, unlike most sports, the regular season means almost nothing.

Re: The Wings have got it.
Dammit. T-Bo played one hell of a game in the net tonight. Seems like the Rangers had a million SOG.
But two weak ass shots did get through.

LU-ON-GO!
LU-ON-GO!
LU-ON-GO!
LU-ON-GO!
LU-ON-GO!
Even though it was the lowly Oilers, we seem to play to our opponents level (Which is good come playoff time).
Booby Lu does it again though. Amazing...only thing to beat him was a perfect deflection.

Re: The Wings have got it.
I have to say this...
How bad of a season are the Wings having when the Canucks have the same number of wins?
Stupid OT points...
Also, we're only 3 back of ANA with a game in hand...is second out of the picture here?
And as for the wings having it...they need to win their game in hand on Nashville (Do they still meet this season?) and get at least 1 extra point. No way they get more wins then the preds at this point.

Re: The Wings have got it.
I'll say it again, watch out for my Pens. Tied with N.J right now, and thats with Marky Mark not scoring at all in the last bazillion games.
T-Bo and Fleury looking stronger and stronger behind the net.

My Habs are on the brink of a playoff berth. Just hope they can squeak into 8th.

Re: The Wings have got it.
I'm pulling for the Leafs to make it over the Habs. Sorry Odie.
Back to the thread topic, maybe we're all wrong about the presidents trophy. Maybe:

Re: The Wings have got it.
Buffalo or Detroit...
Sabers are a point behind with a game in hand.
Looks like the Canucks should lock up the Northwest this week. One more point for, or any kind of loss for the Wild and it's finished.
Anyone look at the West lately...all 8 playoff teams could finish with 100 points...Calgary is the only one still in double digits, and they're at 96 with 3 to play. That's fucking crazy yo!
