So who likes shotguns? I am getting a Benelli Nova pump for christmas. It will come with a 28" barrel chambered for 3 1/2" shell and will be covered in HD Max camo.

Re: Shotguns

I recently got into skeet shooting. I use a remington 870 pump with a modified choke, still not sure what choke to use in skeet, trap and sporting clay. Also what is the best type of load to use for target.

Man...hey drkitatan, glad to see you back. I assume everything is OK at home!!! I got 2. A browning 12 ga pump & a automatic. The auto was my Dad's gun.....very expensive. To heavy for me for really long walks. Hey, I don't mine the pumping. Great dove or turkey gun & will really reach out there!

Re: Shotguns

8 shot for 5 stand. normally 8 for trap. normally 8 for sporting clays. If you have double clays an automatic, over under, or side by side is better than a pump.
For a cheap auto get a remington 1100 and have a light trigger spring put in and replace the rings (Look on the internet).

Re: Shotguns

I use modified for most stuff. On an over under I use modified over improved cylinder.

Re: Shotguns

I have an 870 and an 1100, both are good guns and neither of them cost as much as what you're paying for that Nova...

Re: Shotguns

Nice choice. I've had two Supernovas in the MAX-4. Wouldn't trade mine for anything else...in terms of pumps.
