Slipknot Fans (Or Stone Sour Fans)

What do you guys think of the Stone Sour album. Are you digging it or is it just too watered down for fans of Corey's voice?

I'm kinda on the fence...some songs I get into but others just seem like noise thats playing...I can't really feel it, you know?

What are your thoughts?

His voice with them is something I can actually listen to with them, rather than the screaming he does with Slipknot. (The Slipknot I have heard anyways) I guess I am not really the one to answer this question, but I do like the way he sounds on most of the Stone Sour I have heard.

First Slipknot album was awesome, the rest are crap. I could never get into Stone Sour for reasons unknown. Don't care for the vocals mainly I guess.

Mainly because I am a fan of guitar in general, and there is some great guitar work on the new Stone Sour album. Matter of fact, I'm listening to Kenny Wayne Shephard and Stevie Ray Vaughn songs, so Im obviously not that concerned with vocals. but yes, Corey's voice on this new album is sorta like the first Stone Sour album, the scream is different. Being a fan of Slipknot, Inhale is what really sold me on the first album because that was #8 for sure. Then the rest of the album really set in with me. There are one or two songs on the new album that I don't like, but Im really diggin 30-30/150 and We Are Made of Scars

Especially this current single, it's taken repetitive to a new level. I listened to quite a bit of the first album, but the singles were a good representation of the album: bland and repetitive.
