I just reformatted my computer because Dell tech support told me to. Now I can't play any videos that aren't mpg or mpeg. Anyone know what program or whatever to get them to play again? Thanks.

sounds like you need to install the divx codec, at least you do to watch most avi files...

not sure if the MU link still works, but drktitan56 posted a Pro version in this thread at the beginning of Sept....

i just use the k lite codec pack for almost ever codec i need. free and no problems so far. any search on google will turn it up. You can also use gspot to determine what codecs you need.

gspot renders the file and tells you abt the file and what type of video and audio is needed.

you could go into the settings and tweak the settings for media player
