there so many mmorpg's out there that its kinda making my head spin. now i know the two main ones, everquest, and World of warcraft. which one do you guys perfere and why. i just want to know so i will be acle to make a good investment into this game. i dont want to play it for a mounth then be bored out of my mind. all opinions would be appreciated. thank you.

Go with WoW. While it has numerous problems, if you get a good group it's a lot of fun. Plus they have said they are doing away with 40 man instances (the ones in the game already will stay). That change alone almost makes me want to go back. I have found few other decent MMORPGs. FFXI is a fun and solid game, but time consuming and you definately need a solid guild/linkshell once you get into your lvl 40s and 50s.

World of Warcraft is the best. The upcoming changes in the expansion with the new raid caps and the improvement in PvP will very nice. In WoW you can level quickly and the content is great, so boredom will not be a issue.

WoW is definitely the best. I've played most, and after playing WoW I can't stomach the others. I spend the whole time thinking: "this is like half as fun as WoW and I'm paying the same price."

Buy it, there's a reason they have like 5 million subscribers and the next highest is like 750k.

totally agreed. WoW is great(well was i dun play no more) but its defanitly worth it over any other mmorpg out there right now!

I've played most of the multi massives out there and I prefer world of warcraft the most. It's easy to solo most of the classes to level 60 without any big investment in time or materials. But once you get to 60 it's time to start grouping to advance, but that's not all that hard either.

i play silkroad online its free to play, free to get, and is alot of fun

also flyff is a notable one, but bear in mind you get what you pay for

well, i never liked FlyFF it was to girly... its identical to ROSE... and for silk road.. meh it was just alright nothin caught my eye and there is nothin that makes u want to stay and play longer... IMO of course... other people love it.. i just dunno why i could never figure it out

Try City of Heroes. I find it alot more involved and alot(and i mean alot) more team oriented. WoW was fun but like another guy said earlier(although he meant it as a compliment) it is easy. Very easy infact. Now if u like that and are more interested in soloing the WoW is for u. If u are more interested in Teams(which is y i play MMOs..to interact) then CoH is better. Also i have always had a problem with the auto attack system. It seemed boring and it takes the interactivity of the player out of the game(granted these are my opinions). I had a friend that played FFXI and he would run up attack a monster and take a nap while he fought them. Just didn't seem right. CoH is completely push and then my character attacks...then i use a different power. Ofcourse, characters are vastly more customizable as far as looks go. And u can make a good variety of characters with the class, power, subpower style. Most people complain about there not being equipment(there are enh but alot to explain) but that allows for people who take the time to get good and biuld up skill with their character to be clearly better unlike many others where whoever has the best Equip wins(everquest was horrible about this). In short what i would do is get CoH and WoW and swap back and forth every 3 to 6 months so niether starts to feel boring and over played. That is what i do now and it works out great for me.



btw number of subscribers doesn't tell how good a game is....remeber everquest had the most for a very long time......i played it too.... but as soon as i played another i realized how bad everquest sucked....many people who play WoW have only played that and mabye EQ. Not saying WoW is bad but they haven't expirenced anything else. Another thing is don't say any is simply best. It depends what u are into. Saying anything else is just showing ignorance of gaming in general.

Lineage 2: This game.. if u plan playing on retail... (This game gets extremly fun when you get to high lvls with decent stuff, thing is you can't go killing everyone since you can drop items you worked months for !! literally months!! Thing is achieving that high status is extremly difficult. Especially if u plan playing this solo. There are points where you are extremly poor, and need lots of help. But once u get through this hell its exciting from castle sieges, etc. This game gets more fun as it progresses. But u need lot of patience in many times.

Ragnarok: This game is little animation game. I tried and its almost like lineage 2 but lvling isnt as hard, and gets into action faster. But graphics lack.. and it isn't as exciting.

Eve Online is the shit! This game has a few NPC things to do but for the most part the game is ran by the players themselves. They average 20k ppl on during the week from all over the world. Most major alliances have euro and american crews to keep things going 24/7. I never really liked MMORPG's till I tried this one.
