Finally going to do it

I've decided I'm finally going to take on the bible. I already know most of the lessons/ morals that many of us grew up knowing but I have never actually sat down and read it. I am going to try to keep a really open mind and try to interpret it without any prior knowledge. Any suggestions about how to do this or where to start. I figure since my summer semester is almost over, I'll be tearing into it next weekend. thanks.

Re: Finally going to do it

Be you a Jew, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist, etc. the Old Testament holds a lot of insight into Middle Eastern culture and just how to live life. A couple examples are Proverbs which is a wonderful book with a lot of good advice and Song of Songs which is a beautiful book about love and relationships. Just start with the Old Testament and read through whole sections (not chapters as the chapters are arbitrary).
