I was just wondering what the basics of the new nintendo system. because im planning to by a new gaming system for my basement screen (gonna be a 87inch screeen wooohoo im excited)..so two things... whats up with the nintendo we... and what would you perfer... NINTENDO WE, XBOX360, or the PLAYSTATION 3...

As far as tv dont go that big graphics will suck on it and dont worry about nintendo they cant touch sony and the playstation dynasty getting read for a threepeat with the PS3.

I have a 61'' TV and the graphics look amazing on it. And PS3 is going to take a big hit with that hefty price tag.

I'll stick with the 360.

i like the 360 for it stunning graphics, good price tag(compared the ps3), it is coming out with some really great games, and i personally love how the control fits in my hands compared to a ps2 controller.

the wii is going to be alright but it doesn't have any hidef support. have yet to play it or use the controller.

Actually it's all about what you are looking for. The Nintendo will be MUCH cheaper. The wand will be a big hit in certain games (sports/FPS/etc...). The PS3 will be expensive and have some really beautiful games that won't look as grainy on that huge front projection tv. Same with the XBox360. However, I think at the end of the day the Nintendo Wii is going to be the one I want initially... Wii Tennis FTW!

exactly as they have said ... depends on your price range.. thing is im so used to controllers for PS2 i will stick with the PS3 also i love a game called Socom.. so incase they make 1 for the ps3 i want to be able to get it .. so if there are any games your loyal to... go with that system i would say

I have a 360 and it's very nice on a big TV ( 63 ) with hi def. only thing no spectacular game out yet, as for nintendo it looks intresting, the ps3's price tag almost made me cry, but i still think in the long haul ps3 will be the best.

here's what i'm wondering about that wii system: do we have to play the games standing up or what? a historic part of video gaming is sinking into your couch or chair and remaining mostly motionless thoughout the gaming experience save the occasional feeling like you should lean to the left in order to help your car make that corner or that you should actually move your head to look around that next corner to see if there are any bad-guys waiting to shoot you.

with the wii, though, it seems like they are going to make gamers sit up, hold their arms out and even *gasp* STAND to play some of these games. what's up with that? i'm not too sure that i'm into it.

I'm sure they'll have plenty of games that you'll be able to play comfortably while sitting down. I wouldn't be surprised if many games have a controller layout that allows for conventional gameplay.

That's true alot of the games they are showcaseing have alot of physical motion to them. They really haven't shown any conventional type games, i wonder, maybe most games will have an option to play them like a conventional game but i don't see how you would be able to do that with that odd controller.

yeah, it looks to me like any frist person shooter requires aiming the controller at the screen for example. i see that as something that would keep me from playing the game if i was feeling lazy. at this point, it's when i'm lazy that i feel like playing video games. that doesn't compute. here's the trouble though and this is why eventually i'll have one of these wii things: i love Zelda games and i love Mario games. basically i'm screwed. it's like how my love for the Halo series will lead me to get an XBOX 360. i hate it but i love it.

I will go for the Wii, and definately not for Sony's expensive sandwich toaster... ;-) Innovative gameplay is far more important than graphics to me. More polygons just don't make a game more fun to play...
