Romantic Song
Hey everyone. Im looking to make a short video for this girl to show her how much I care for her/love her. Problem is I want a real romantic song to play in the back but me being 19 I hear all the romantic songs on the radio and whatnot but I have no clue who the people are nor the name of the song. Can anyone suggest a song or two so I can put in the background. Its going to be all like a picture show so the music will be the whole time. If anyone can suggest any ideas to put into the movie too that will be helpful too! Thanks :wiggle:

Re: Romantic Song
"Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton
"The Luckiest" by Ben Folds (although its a bit wierd)
"Sweet Child O Mine" by Guns and Roses (only if you have some good vocal chords though)
"Wish you were here" by Incubus
I dunno... there's a million possibilities. Can't go wrong with "Wonderful Tonight" though... easy song, and Eric Clapton doesn't exactly have the best voice either so it is hard to kill it.

Lady in red - Chris Deburgh
Faithfully - Journey
The Flame - Cheap Trick
Cheesy, sure, but they get the job done.

Re: Romantic Song
"in your eyes" is a good choice . another possibility is steve winwood ; "higher love" ... a little more intensity .
i would avoid a song that references a girls name ... kind of distracts from the premis you are making .
a couple of ideas for the "romantic" video :
opening ... fade into a sunrise with mist/fog . sweeping scenic pan shots . use fadeout/in transitions between scenes when the subject matter requires a moment to adjust to . cross fade into the next scene if the subject matter is of a similar nature .
avoid transitioning into/out of close or intimate scenes with sliders/pushers/flippers ... too much "show" .
use cuts/chops/colds sparingly ... these tend to rip up the flow of the composition unless the timing with the audio is tight and the subject matter involved is very closely related (for example , different angles/pulls of the same action) .
it is better to dwell on a single scene (sometimes) rather than try to transition to 3-4 different items ... aka : too busy .
observe some well done videos ... watch how them that get paid do it !
listen/see/feel with your heart ... not your head .
good luck with it !
