I was just checking my User CP/profile & noticed it's almost been a year since I've been a member & I just thought about how much time I spend here. I've realized it's too much. I have a good life. I love my caring, smart, beautiful gf(almost wife)I have a growing business which keeps me happy & always interested, but yet I've noticed the last year has been my least productive by far. I lack self the self-control to not visit this site. An addiction if you will. The thing is no one knows that I visit a forum or talk to people over the internet(not that there's anything wrong with that). It's just that I'm a little shy about telling people. I think they'd be like "why?".

I'm a very confident, outgoing & personable type of guy. I've met many people here & some I could see meeting someday. I feel like I'm hiding here & from what I don't know. At first it was a great escape to blow off a little steam, but now it's a full blown addiction which I feel I need to change & soon. I ponder doing something to get a perm-a-ban, but I know that wouldn't be the right thing to do. I tried to cancel by GOLD membership a few months ago & that only lasted a couple of days. SO I'll try that again this month.

I think one of the reasons I've been here so much is the whole rep thing. As in my non intraweb life I care what people think of what I do. Every person that walks into one of my restaraunts I want to know that they've a a great experience. When I'm there I always make it a point to make sure everyone is happy & I appreciate that they're there, staff included. In being here & watching my e-cawk grow & grow I got addicted & feel at the pace I'm on I could & would be the top rep leader here. Then I think, what the hell does that mean to anyone in my world that really matters. My competitiveness has gotten the better of me here.

So, when my GOLD membership expires this time I will not be able to use the invisible feature. If by chance you happen to see me here more than once a day or more than an hour a day. Please, feel free to shoot me a pm & tell me to get off. Baby steps, little baby steps.

if being here is affecting your bussines or your personal life then u shouldnt be here, if the rep is the only reason you posted stuff and hanged around here (which i find hard to believe) then u should leave. I said it once, before this site i never knew forums existed, i was surfing the net looking for free porn and i found this site, lurked for some months then found the both and now im here when i have free time. Usually when im at work and doing nothing... happens often (which i though it wouldnt) or when im at home and really tired of reading (stupid and boring law stuff) and studying; i come here to read some posts give my opinion, tell a few jokes, mess with the lurkers, etc. This is a fun and relaxing place to burn my free time.
If u do leave, im sure u would be missed, id miss you and not for the porn but for who you are, we've had a few good laughs together, and u are the one who got me started here in wr. Id hate to see u go but if u must then by all means please do so, busines and realtionships are far more important. If i see you here i'll pm you, but theres no chance that pm will say get out of here, id first ask what's up, what's new, how's da family, want some buttseckz? (please dont delete that if u must pm me and ill take it away), and then i'd tell ya to go away and get back with your real life.

I completely understand what you are talking about. If ever there was a semester where I didn't need to spend every 10 secs here, this semester would have been it. Unfortunately, I still show up here every day for at least two hours. It is indeed, an addiction. Looks like I'll probably be getting a summer job down in Nashville. I think it starts in early June. Won't have access to the internet down there. Don't know what I'll do. June, July, and August are going to be tough months indeed.

Boston, if you feel like you need a break from here, NO ONE will think less of you. I believe you are one of the 5 greatest members here. You are always thoughtful, generous, and helpful when others here need you. If you need to spend the same devotion to your real life that you do here, it is COMPLETELY understandable.

I come to webrats for one simple reason - I can be myself here and I don't care about how you guys judge me. In each of our lives we have expectations that me must meet - people see us in some ways and we must constantly have that face on. I like WR and I visit it and post so often because I can just be myself.

When you have people looking at you and painting you in a certain way, you must be that person no matter what. Anything else and your a source of disappointment. WR is great because it doesn't have a single topic or focus. We can talk about whatever here - you come for the porn but you stay for the people - thats the difference between lurkers and us regular posters.

To me its like you guys are family. I get to just chill and relax without thinking 'oh fuck how will this look like to >>insert name here<<'.

After quite a few PMs, I just want to clear things up. I'm not leaving the site all together(thanks for the concern guys). I'm just gonna reduce the amount of time I spend here. Up until about a year ago, I had never even been on a message board. The only experiences I had around them was a friend of mine who was a preacher's son and he would blast people on this god message board and I would laugh. I realized that I spend an inordinate amount of time on this site, the other board I was on I....parted ways...with them all over ego's and had a big falling out with two of the admins that I knew personally. I realized that I would rather cruise BOTH than do my damn homework, which screwed me over a couple of times, but that's just how I roll, Im a procrastinator. I try to stay away for a bit, but it never works...I try to go downstairs and watch TV, or read a book. But I get bored and walk back up to hit BOTH...

now that school is out for the summer, Im gonna be fuXOred with all the free time...

Every once and a while I let the cable bill slide so the PC is cut off for a few days. It keeps my internet habit in check. I do have a computer at work but it's a Govt. job so I keep it on normal stuff.
