Breaking News
KTLA CH 5 Newport, CA Aug 5th 10:00 PM PST - Live report confirms that that night she was allegedly raped, Katelyn Faber did not tell anyone her story. Her mother was in fact the first person who was made aware of her situation. Also, the report that her clothes were torn when she returned from Mr. Bryant's room have been shown to be untrue.
The only report from the bellhop, a highschool friend, was that Katelyn looked visibly upset, her clothes were disheveled as if she had dressed in a hurry, and that she left without talking to anyone.

I'm wondering why almost four hours later the story isn't on the KTLA or LA Times websites. I worked for a newspaper many years ago and even before computers ruled the world that's plenty of time to get it in the print edition so the website would be no problem at all. I just watched a story on CBS overnight about the case and they gave no update mentioning it. CNN headline news just did an update on the top stories of the day and again no reference to it. I can't find it anywhere on the web. Also, who would know the truth besides the bellman and her? Did they say he retracted his story? Sounds like wishful thinking on your part, to be polite about it.

Absolutely NO mention of this on Today show,Good Morning America, or CNN in reports this morning. Better luck with your next fabrication.

NEW DETAILS ON KOBE BRYANT CASE: (just info I thought you may want to see)
Pete Mang, the deputy director of the bureau that handled analyses in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the Columbine school shooting, would not specify items obtained in this case but spoke generally about evidence commonly submitted in sexual-assault cases. Crime laboratory scientists frequently pore over items that contain deposits showing the transfer of bodily fluids, such as semen and blood, or establish contact, such as with an exchange of hair fibers, between a victim and suspect. DNA testing that would link evidence to a suspect could take two to three weeks, depending on the purity and amount of sample recovered from items, Mang said. Suspect samples can be obtained by hospital staff. Bryant, according to Vail Taxi driver Terry O'Brien, was at a Glenwood Springs hospital in the hours after being questioned by police late July 1.
Katelyn Fabers father works for a phone company. Her mother works at an elementary school.
She has two brothers
She has a bedroom shelf that holds a CD player that always is on and magazine cutouts of words and pictures she likes.
She planned to sing `Forgive,' by Rebecca Lynn Howard if she was accepted to appear on American Idol.
2002 graduate of Eagle Valley Senior High and a student at the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, had taken a job this summer at the Lodge as a front-desk clerk
