So i recently met this girl, and she is amazing. I literally like everything about her. We find ourselves talking hours everyday. She said she never likes talking on the phone but can talk to me for hours upon hours. We only get to see eachother a few times a week since we live an hour apart (and its a long hour because of traffic). Everytime we are together, its so comfortable and it feels so good to have her there. I feel I am falling maybe a bit too fast, but she doesnt seem put off by it in the least. How do you know if you are going too fast?

Going to fast is when your pushing for things to happen sooner than they should. As long as your going with the flow (what you and her both want), just ride it out and let it be natural. Things will take their own pace they way they should.

I agree. She likes the fact that I dont play games. I tell her how much I like her and how amazing I think she is....and she is still talking to me

Also, I think the fact that we only get to see eachother a few times a week keeps things fresh and exciting

not trying to sound like a putz but, try to keep sex out of the relationship until a month or 2 into it, atleast. You'll be amazed at how much you will wanna be with each other if you only go as far as you can go without fuckin. Keep some type of imagination to it, and things will REALLY strive.

Only suggesting this based on how much you care about her. If it was just some random chick you wanna date, no feelings, I'd be the exact opposite. Tie her down, fuck her brains out, take pics, and post them! :rock:

That would depend on what aspect of the relationship you mean.

If you're talking about getting down, I would say that there is no too-fast. If you're talking like relationship type stuff, moving in together... etc... then you really really need to take your time. Really slow, I would say at least a year before anything relatively permanent.

No such thing as too fast, unless you really connect with the girl. Then maybe give it a few weeks, meaning go with the the natural flow without any pushing by you.

You have plenty of time to discover each other. No need to rush things at this point. Keep doing the 3 hour phone calls and establishing that relationship "base" of trust and friendship.

In my opinion, constant phone chatter is not good. You get "talked-out." I'm sure many have experienced it. It certainly bores the shit out of me. You'll meet up and not have as much to talk about, or just wear the relationship out. Boredom may ensue. Save the long conversations for in-person. You want her wanting more, not full. Besides after a long conversation in person, there is the option of getting some action. On the phone... eh. I dislike chatting with romantic interests via the internet or obsessively on the phone.

Of course there are exceptions, love usually makes conversation pretty much endless. =\ BUT STILL NOT THROUGH MESSANGER.

DJSAD says it all. Kudos. While I haven't personally experienced a fast relationship, one of my best friends did and they are still married today, 5 years later. I think it really has to do with knowing the difference between real love and infatuation. Infatuation seems to have a way of fooling all of us into thinking we're in love. And, that's why once you have sex sometimes things change because the expectations changed instead of strengthening the love.
