I thought this was absolutely hilarious, and just goes to show how out of touch Bush, and the federal government is with average American's problems. I personally spent my "stimulus" money on bills. Enjoy the article, I thought the BOH would be the appropriate forum for this.


President Bush's economic stimulus package, which appears so far to have been ineffective in stroking the economy to life, is giving an unexpected raise to the porn industry.

From an Adult Internet Market Research Company press release:

An independent market-research firm, AIMRCo (Adult Internet Market Research Company), has discovered that many websites focused on adult or erotic material have experienced an upswing in sales in the recent weeks since checks have appeared in millions of Americans' mailboxes across the country.


According to Kirk Mishkin, Head Research Consultant for AIMRCo, "Many of the sites we surveyed have reported 20-30% growth in membership rates since mid-May when the checks were first sent out, and typically the summer is a slow period for this market."

I spent my stimulus check on golf and Guinness while I was home on leave.

I havent gotten my check yet but it will go towards something more useful for me right now which was a new hdtv which I am really enjoying

I haven't received my check.
I think the upswing is due to more Americans sitting at home out of work so they're checking out porn between job hunts.

Wait, so if it is US Porn, then how is it now being spent on US Products? As the President Wanted. This is a Free Country, people can spend that money anyway they want.

The Idea of the Checks was drafted WAY before Gas Skyrocketed. So to say they have had no effect is incorrect.
I got mine and spent it on US Products. Not Gas.
