surprised about CS:S

I am really surprised to see the amount of enthusiasm for Counter Strike Source. I was and continue to be pretty dissapointed with source. I have been a huge counterstrike fan since 1.3 and am not impressed with how buggy source continues to be. That being said its true that the hit registration issues have almost been fixed but the game still lacks that counter strike feel. Maybe i am just too much a fan of the old school, and yes i continue to play 1.6. I would like to hear what people have to say about source though

I like source. I don't like counter-strike on source. I can't really put a finger on it thought. The speed feels different, the aiming different, the damage done and especially the grenades just feel different. Maybe I was out of the game for too long when I went back to play.

The thing that I really don't like is the players. Every time I try to play, I get in a game with just bots or with people who are terrible. The last time I played was when I was drunk I joined 5 or 6 games with just bots in it. Then I finally joined a decent game with people and went like 26-2. I left that game because the people in there were terrible. I went to various other games and did pretty well, but the people who play the game just aren't the same. They're either way too hardcore into like clanmatches or they just suck.

Give me the couple releases just before it went comercial that was the golden age of CS.

I liked all of the Counter Strike versions. I play source alot and I like it. I tried to go back to 1.6 just for fun and damn that game is ugly when you get used to Source. I have to agree, finding good people or just servers with out bots is difficult. When you do find the servers with good people in it just stay in those ones. I've only found like 4 that have good players and the admins aren't ass holes and abuse their power. If you are looking for a good server you should try Noob Slating Grounds (Team Puff), {LLC}24/7 no awp, no auto or Seattle all Pro Gamer OPC3. I don't know the IP's off hand. but yeah.... Source is life, Steam SUCKS.

I like steam. I think it was a good idea. I wouldn't if their products sucked because I wouldn't want to pay for them, but I really like the idea of episodic release for HL from now on.

I agree, but I think its getting better. It uses up way too much of my memory right now. If they add support for third party mods, then it would be awesome.

I like how Half Life is going to bo released as episodes, but I'm going to hate waiting for each episode and having to wait months at a time. Plus I think there would be alot of bugs when they release each episoed because they plan on releasing new Source technology with it too. I don't know how its going to be for me or how you're supposed to pay for it.

I think its a great idea and that it will extend the HL story a lot farther than it would have ordinarily gone. I'm okay with getting a little bit of the story every year rather than waiting 6 years for a definate conclusion.
