Exactly, the eliptical orbit is supposed to bring the planet even closer to Earth, but not intercepting Earth. It will cause dramatic changes in environment, if it does happen. The Sumerians believed that it would happen in..... May 2003. Who knows?
Anyway, despite what people may think, I don't base a lot of my beliefs on the Sumerians, but I find their outlook on things rather amazing. Even if they were just a bunch of idiots who drooled and drank dirt. I just had to add that in.
