Preakness
Horseracing seems pretty unpopular here (I can't even find a Kentucky Derby thread), BUT
I figured I'd weigh in with my Preakness picks and see what the rest of you think.
Street Sense will win. The main question seems to be who will come in second. As I write this the odds on him are 7-5, and I'm sure there's a line of cars heading to the track just to bet this horse to win.
The only other horses who look like they can keep the pace are Hard Spun (4-1), King of the Roxy(15-1, keep an eye out on this one), and Curlin (3-1). Hard Spun, though, is a question mark for me since he ran his best race ever in the Derby and still lost ground in the stretch.
Crcular Quay just seems like a one-trick too-late pony.
I'll probably just get an exacta box with Curlin, King of the Roxy, and Street Sense (4,5,8) over Curlin, King of the Roxy, Hard Spun, and Street Sense (4,5,7,8).
