Lets see what players everyone uses.

Im on a 400mhz machine so i use very light players. WinAmp 2 is nice and light and CoolPlayer is even lighter. Very light on resource usage. I like the all in ones like MusicMatch but they are just too clunky for my machine - i like to be able to be online, be litening to music, be running all my IM programs, and not have skip and such.

i use WinAmp 3 when i want the visuals on screen.

Overall id have to say that WinAmp is free, it has a LOT of plugins that make the playlist a very powerful tool, its easy to use, and it looks good. It gets my vote.

i havent used sonique in a long while - when i had it it was nice and i liked the tempo control - i guess i could give it another chance. is it still shareware?

not too sure, i havent used it in about a year. i dont listen to too much on the computer, i just burn it and listen to it on big speakers.

i hooked up my soundcard to my stereo with a y adapter - so now one of my inputs is used by my com. that way i can set up winamp to play 100 songs and then walk away. its really useful for group settings so i dont have to play DJ and change cd's all the time. i also have an IR remote for my computer and i set it to work with winamp - so i can skip tracks and change volume and stuff - it works rather well.
