A President can win the election if you base it on POPULAR vote, which is adding up each INDIVIDUAL vote. But, just because the popular vote swings that way, doesn't mean the electoral college will. Your vote really only matters if you live in a dense populated area. If your in a rural community, your vote has much less power.


Who wins the presidency is based not on the majority of voters but rather the majority of states. Your vote does count, but not for your choice of president but rather the choice of your state for president. It's for good reason and it's not rocket science.

Your vote doesn't weigh any better or worse where you live, but it does force the candidates take issue with a wider range voters. Otherwise they would never leave the cities knowing the rural areas will just end up plus or minus a percentage point or so.

What is a piss off, is to hear educated politicians like hillary clinton make stupid ass comments when they themselves know damn straight how, why and the merits of the system.
