I would love anything that showed he actually listened to things i say...For instance, if i offhandedly mention that i would love to see a certain play or that i want to get something and he got it for me...That would be the best.

And nooo I don't mean dropping hints, i just mean mentioning something on a wish list or that i'm thinking of buying for myself.

Usually, anything i need/want, i buy for myself.

I love giving flowers, for no special reason though. Victoria secret thinggies (no, not thongs), candles, candies, playful sex thinggies, nothing too kinky though.

hah that reminds me that I was supposed to massage my g/f tonight... she's still laying on the bed sleeping, so I guess I do still have the oppurtunity to do it for her... but she looks so pretty sleeping that I don't want to disturb her.

But yeah thongs are overrated, I have convinced her to start wearing the boy short kinda of undies. The coverage factor just gets me goin... more to the imagination I guess even though I know whats there.

As for gifts, I am a poor piece of shit, so i do the best I can with what I have, which isnt much. I hate myself for that, but that is a whole different issue. But even though a gift card is kinda impersonal, its better than getting her the wrong size and her ing you. lol... plus you can suprise her with the gift card... and she can suprise you with some new sexy stuff...

unless of course you give her the gift card, and you dont see any new undies in the bed room... then you have the right to be suspicious of foul play... hehe

flowers are nice, massages, nice dinners, a mini-vacation to a B&B, a gift you think she would like and would be meaningful...so long as you put thought into the gift she should like it!

And NO GIFT CARDS!!! if i wanted a friggin' gift card for my birthday i'd ask my brother, not the guy i've been in love with for 2 years.

(even if the gift is not to her liking it's better she return it than have you say "here, i love you, you're my best friend, i trust you....here's a 25$ GC to Sam Goody!")

lol yes, a gift card to sam goody or circuit city would be super dumb, but a gift card to VS I dont see a problem with, especially since the chick has to wear it... unless the guy wears it too.... again... dr. phil... lol

Or the GC to VS where he takes her there and they pick stuff out together or something... but i wouldnt wanna buy my girl a pair of panties just to have them returned or stuffed into the bottom of a drawer. "It's the thought that counts" only goes so far with me... I'd rather they get something they can actually use.

Haha, smart ass..my brother did get me a GC for Xmas....to Old Navy! And if i wanted one to VS i'd just ask him..it's not like he's coming with me or reaping the benefits of the GC. Granted, it's a bit odd, but for all he knows i just need some fresh drawers.

P.S. i just meant that after 2 years there are better things to get than a gift card.

I Like Gifts But They Aren't Really Necessary All The Time To Me. It's When It Is Out Of The Blue And They Surprise You That I Think Is Romantic. I Am Not Really Into Flowers, Never Really Have Been. For Valentines Day Vdawg Got Me A Gold Necklace With A Diamond Heart. He Had It Hidden In The Glove Compartment When He Picked Me Up For Dinner And Asked Me To Get Something Out Of The Glove Compartment For Him And I Went In And Saw It. I Was Totally Surprised And Excited. It Was So Sweet. I Just Really Love Going To A Movie Or Going Out To Dinner With Him. That Is What Is Romantic To Me. He Does Not Have To Buy Me Material Things. Once In A While Is Fine But It Is Not Something That I Expect!

Some great ideas here, people...after 15 years or so with my lovely wife, it's hard to come up with something I haven't done already!

BTW, I'm a "give her flowers for no reason" guy - I try to do that at least once every few weeks for her. Even if she may be getting tired of that after this long, she's never let on & always seems to appreciate it...
