Lebron or Micheal
Who do you think was the most talented? Do you think Levron can live up to all the hype with everyone comparing him to MJ? I think he has the talent but doesn't have the support that Micheal had, therefore he will never live up to MJ or get out of his shadow!!

Re: Lebron or Micheal
I really don't think championships make the players, I mean that being the case Babe Ruth would not be one of the greats since he was only in 2 world series, Nolan Ryan only has one WS apperance, Hank Aaron only has two apperances. John Elway only has one ring, so championships don't make they player, it is his abil;ities to play the game! And how well he plays it!

John Elway has two rings.
Micheal is Micheal, Lebron is Lebron. Both are talented but both have their own game. Also it's way to early to tell. It's only been two years. Ask me in 5 years.

Re: Lebron or Micheal
I think the sports media has got it all wrong. Lebron is the second coming of Len Bias not MJ. If Lenny B wouldn't have died, everyone wouldn't be in such awe of MJ, and the much hated Celtics would've prevent some of those 6 championships. now rant on!

I love MJ... I really do! But growing up watching MJ and Len Bias, I realize Bias was even more exciting than MJ. Bias was a bigger, stronger version of MJ (kinda like Lebron). Bias' only drawback was he didn't have the killer instinct like MJ had. MJ would eat his opponents heart out.

Re: Lebron or Micheal
I guess what im trying to get at is that they are two different players. I hate comparisons in sports. I hated it with Kobe, Shaq, Griffey, Tiger, all of them. Why can't players just be "as good as" themselves.
Sure Labron is having a sophomore year like none other, but anything can happen. Just look at Grant Hill. Thank god he is back and doing well but with the injury's his legacy has been tainted. As well as Junior. Griffey should have been the best ever. Not now.
Back on topic....MJ changed the sport forever. On the court and off. It will be hard to ever equal that presence again. Also MJ actually played college ball. I wish James would of. He could have gone down as one of the best NC players ever. But he saw fame and $ instead of maturity and growth in talent. Sad.
I don't know....WTF do I know. I'm not the millionaire stud tht he is. Just STFU koRnut!
I like Melo anyway!

Re: Lebron or Micheal
We are talking about Mike here guys. I mean I think Lebron is real solid, without a doubt one of the most talented players in the league right now and has a bright future in the NBA. But MJ is and always will be the man. There is no comparison. The quality of basketball players has dropped since MJ's days of the late 80's and 90's. Not the quality of athletes but the quality of basketball players. MJ is more than just a basketball player, and so far Lebron has done nothing but follow in the footsteps of the greatest player ever like every other wannabe (KOBE). He has done nothing to transcend himself into someone who will ever be remembered in the minds of people...yet

Re: Lebron or Micheal
I don't like Kobe, but he is a DAMN good BBall player, and he makes his team better.
He will be known as one of the best.
Mike was Mike. The Best ever. He could do it all.
Simply the best.
Lebron is still young, and extremely talented, He could be in the same catsgory, but lets give him time. He is god, but until he gets closer to championships, TV will not show all his games.
Melo - He is improving under Coach Karl, and may turn into a dman fine plaer too. I HOPE SO!! :-D

Re: Lebron or Micheal
Let's get off Kobe's dick!
1) Don't compare Lebron to Kobe. Lebrons first year averaged over 40 minutes, and over 20 points a game. It took Kobe 5 seasons to get there. Bitch should have went to college(would be a much better player after 3 years at Duke).
2) Everthing Kobe does emulates MJ. From the sweatband just below the elbow to signing with Nike to always wanting to take the game winning shot. Bitch probably wears shit-stained Hanes briefs.
3) Kobe only makes his team better through his productivity, he doesn't make his teammates better. If Kobe shot ain't fallin', he keeps throwing up bricks or just puts the game in the tank. Bitch should have learned from Magic. The only thing he has in common with Magic is he probably has AIDS after he ass raped that girl in Vale.
4) Lebron has already transcended the game because he is an All-Star and can't buy Alcohol! Because of Lebron it's open season on signing prep star. Even the NBA is considering a mandatory age limit for rookies. If you have changed the game, you've transcended it.
Whew! That was like taking a big dump.

Re: Lebron or Micheal
Wow...I just lost alot of respect for you and your sports knowledge.
1.Kinda hard for Kobe to average 20 points a game in his rookie year when he wasn't there to be the main guy. Shaq was. Lebron was pushed into the scorer's role from minute one. Also it took Kobe 4 seasons to average over 20 a game. He would have done it in his third year if it wasn't for injury.
2.What's wrong with emulating your idol?? I did it when I was a kid and still do today. Shit, I swing like Edgar Martinez because I grew up loving the guy. As far as Nike goes, Kobe started out with Adidas. Then went to Nike for the money. Can't blame him.
3.Kobe would have a much better assist total if his teammates could hit more shots. He has to step up and be the lead scorer for them to win. How many times in Jordan's Bulls career did they win if he wasn't the leading scorer?
4.Lebron didn't change the league's outlook on "straight outta high school" players. It's been something that has been discussed far before LeBron. LeBron has done nothing to "change the game". He is just a great baller.
Don't shit on Kobe just because you base your opinions on the crap you hear on ESPN about him off the court. Three rings at 24 is fucking rare.
Man Wayne....you just made a sports talk enemy.

Re: Lebron or Micheal
ur right. dont compare lebron to kobe. lebron is no where close to kobe.
everthing kobe does emulates MJ? everything lebron does emulates MJ. he wears #23 just like him. wears #9 in the olympic just like him.
kobe makes his teammates better. he always gets double, triple team. other ppl get wide open shots. its just sometimes ppl dont make those open shots.
ppl need to stop hating on the lakers and kobe.
