National Letter of Intent Day
I guess this is only for the diehard college football fans, but does your alma mater and/or local university hold a big party for LOI day? If so what do they do, and are you going?
Here at Boise State, they used to have a party at one of the bar/grills near the school. It's actually more of a Hooter's type of a place. This year they had to move it to a bigger venue because of the team's recent success. We'll see how they put it together this year, but in years past they have tons of giveaways, sell a bunch of new gear, have hot chicks in short skirts running around, etc. I'm leaving work at 2 so I can be there.

Re: National Letter of Intent Day
Here at Texas, we just get pissed when the #1 recruit in the country gives us an oral commitment and then stabs us in the back and signs with LSU....Ryan Perriloux will rue the day he screwed the horns....

Re: National Letter of Intent Day
Duke didn't have a party, but there should have been. Finising in the top 40 after the way we've played the past 4 years. Ted Roof is looking like a savior.

Re: National Letter of Intent Day
There was not a huge party for the Huskers, but you'd think that some would have you think they won the national championship. I guess we really needed something to hang our hats on after the 5-6 debacle that was this past season....That's great that they can get talent to come, but can they coach the talent and make it better and translate into wins. Wins and losses will be the ultimate judge. Sorry this was a bit off the initial purpose of the post.

Re: National Letter of Intent Day
I know this post is quite late, but i can't help but boast about my team's recruiting class......#1WR in the nation according to most publications in Fred Rouse......Mr. Football in the state of FL RB Antone Smith.......LB Geno Hayes.....LB Derek Nicholson...Neefy Moffett.....Callahan Bright........to make a long story short, a ton of STUD football players. And of course im talking about the Seminoles of Florida State, who according to rivals.com had the #2 recruiting class in the nation.....
