Why do Republicans feel it necessary to make as much money as they possibly can, and then keep it all for themselves, even though it stays here when they die? Why would they rather someone starve to death than spare some bread crumbs?

I earned it. It's mine and yes it stays when I die, to my kids. Go get an education, get a job and and stop asking for hand outs. I'll give a hand up, but not a hand out.

Your kids didn't earn it, why should they get it? People around the world need this stuff. Just because you're selfish and want to hold on to every last penny your earn doesn't mean it's right.

My kids have more of a right to what I have made than some third world s**t head or some lazy ass on welfare that won't get a job.

You're such a cynic. A certain amount of money is necessary to keep society comfortable. Without welfare and organizations, this country wouldn't be as comfortable as it is. We would have more disease, we would have more homelessness... homeless people aren't the ones getting your money. That's why they are homeless.

Some people do not have the capacity to work. It's not their fault, and they SHOULD be taken care of.

It’s true that some people need assistance. I’m more than happy that some of my money (via taxes) goes to help the underprivileged. I do get upset at some programs which seem to reward laziness and encourage some people to leech off of the system.

On the whole welfare is necessary. It’s a shame that some people abuse the system, but, I suppose, that is inevitable.

It is necessary, and people who abuse it should be denied it. There are some legitimate claims, however. I don't think mothers of 20 should automatically get money because they like sex.
