Win XP Pro login problem

click on one of our sponsors! OR REMOVE ADS
Stupid me, I seemed to have problems with my internet connection using a work computer that I brought home.
I decided to try changing the computer from the my work domain to my home workgroup.
I had full admin rights with my domain logon, XP prompted to restart the computer and I did.
My problem comes that now, my login is invalid...
I didn't know it would disable the domain users:(
and of course I hadn't created a local admin account nor do I know the password for the default admin(s) account either.
btw, the computer is a Dell precision, maybe they have a default admin account password? I tried to contact Dell, but they are closed for the long weekend.

Thanks to anyone who can help

Re: Win XP Pro login problem

have you tried booting in safe mode and seeing what comes up, there should be an admin account there without a password normally, from there u can change all other passwords and try to continue. If not let me knw.

Nope, the default local admin have both been protected, even in safe mode.

Re: Win XP Pro login problem

This is you may need to go on a different computer, but i've be TOLD "Hiren's Boot Disk" gets you into anything, and from option 9 on it you can select "password tools" and then the first choice (can't remember what it's called) just play around u will soon figure it out. I don't know if it works but i have been told by many it does.
The website 4 info is http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd
but to download it is at the bottom of http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives...f-all-boot-cds/
hope it helps
