iv not had that and iv given the links to about 12 frends and they havent had it ether

crack worked just fine and my antivirus wasn't sure if it was a virus or not it said that it looked suspissous. I'll bet it's nothing to worry about. I try scanning the file with my yahoo email and it came up negitive so i think trend micro anti virus is just a little bit too picky.

Every Keygen I've ever gotten with Photoshop has had a trojan in it. Seriously, every time. AVG gets them every time though, and I install without any problems.

One problem, though, and I think it's Adobe....
It installs a program called 'Bonjour' along with it.

Bonjour is a network administrator tool, used to find software and hardware on a network. It locks into your services host and a lot of other programs, and allows the owner (I presume Adobe, but it could be a Spammer) to change settings and control your computer to a degree, as well as see everything you do. It is an exploit, and you could become a spambot.

It is located in your hard drive, Program Files, folder name Bonjour. It is difficult to remove by ordinary means, but I found a tool that will do it easily.

Download and install Unlocker .

Open Start > My Computer > your hard drive (disc C: ?) > Program files > Bonjour. There will be two files, an exe and a dll. Right click on the exe, and select Unlocker (looks like a magic wand). It will tell you that the exe has no 'handles' that can be detected, and What do you want to do? select delete. It will tell you it can't, but do you want to delete on next start up? select 'yep'.

Right click on the dll, and select unlocker, it will find a bunch of handles. Select 'unlock all'. it will unlock them, and maybe it will tell you there are more, and maybe unlocker will just exit. Whatever right click again and find more handles, and unlock all. Do this until it gets the do you want to delete on start-up? Yep.

Restart and navigate back to the bonjour folder. It should now be empty. If not do it again. If it's empty, go up one screen and delete the folder.

You will now have caused some poor degenerate to go out and find a real job. Or maybe not.

And Now to Enjoy my new Photoshop CS3 in Peace........

Much appreciated... was there any confirmation on if there was a virus or not. I just fixed my wifes CPU, I would hate to repeat the process again. I think she looks for viruses to install while I am at work.

all i can say is i havent found one and iv done a few scans i scaned with nod 32
and when the 30 day trial run out on that i installed agv and done scans with that a few times
and not found one

"bonjour" is an Apple Inc product . this is from the Adobe tech pages :

"When you install any edition of the Adobe Creative Suite 3 family or a Creative Suite 3 component on Windows, Bonjour for Windows is installed as a service on the machine. Bonjour is Apple's open source implementation of zero-configuration networking software. It is used by Adobe Version Cue CS3 client applications to dynamically discover Version Cue Servers on the local network.

For it to function correctly, you must allow Bonjour access to the internet through your firewall. Bonjour checks to see whether the DNS server configured on your computer supports service discovery. No data is transmitted to Adobe. Bonjour connects to no other servers than your machine's pre-configured DNS server. Bonjour also sends network packets to and receives them from a multicast IP address on the local network (244.0.0.251) once every thirty minutes. This address is reserved for multicast traffic on a local network and such network packets never leave the local network."

here is how to remove it for Windows :

1. Open a Windows command prompt and type the following command:
"C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe -remove"
2. Navigate to the following folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\Bonjour
3. Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file in that folder to mdnsNSP.old
4. Restart your computer
5. Delete the the Program Files\Bonjour folder

Note: Removing Bonjour prevents Version Cue clients (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Bridge) from automatically discovering Version Cue Servers and Version Cue projects in your local network. You will need to connect manually using Connect to Server and the URL or IP address of the machine running Version Cue Server instead.
